Sandra Walters is an author and language arts teacher who has worked with students from elementary to high school. During her 23 years of experience in education, she has encountered many children from broken homes. Teaching today has become extremely challenging because students’ emotional issues interfere with the learning process, so in an effort to assist children who come from dysfunctional families, she wrote “Secrets…Why Was I Born in This Family?” This will allow them to have those difficult conversations that they can’t express and give people a glimpse into their world. As a child, Sandra was convinced that she was the only one with a family like hers, but she discovered through the stories of many students that she was not unique at all. People simply don’t talk about their family issues. She shares her story to inspire people to break free. Sandra holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Interdisciplinary Studies from the University of North Texas. Currently, she teaches senior English at Grace Preparatory Academy in Arlington, Texas.
