Karen Kreps is the author of three books: The 60-Day Diet Diary (Dell Publishing, 1982) was on the NY Times Best Seller list for a week and the B-Dalton Bookstore Best Seller list for six weeks. It had six printings and sold more than 250,000 copies. She wrote Intimacies: Secrets of Love, Sex & Romance—a 1987 collection of columns about relationships, and Kid Me Not: An anthology by child-free women of the ’60s now in their 60s.
Her editorial career started at Cue New York magazine, where she wrote regular arts and entertainment spotlights and features, and managed program listings of 800 regional cinemas, 1978–1980. She reviewed foreign and independent films for Boxoffice magazine, 1980–1993; served as Articles Editor for Woman’s World magazine in 1987 and as Associate Editor of the inflight magazine for Eastern Airlines. For the Progressive Radio Network, she wrote news stories set with popular music.
Her work has also been published by The New York Times Co., the Washington Post, the New York Post, the New York Daily News, and Diversion, Success and Experience Austin magazines.
As the owner of Net Ingenuity, Karen produces custom WordPress websites. She splits her time between the Swiss Alps and Austin, Texas, where she swims daily in the chilly, invigorating waters of Barton Springs.
