Greenwood, Andrew was born and raised in Houston, Texas. His father was a hard-working and prominent neurosurgeon. His mother was also hard-working and devoted to her family and to community service. A.P. is the youngest of six children.<br/> He attended private schools growing up, attended college in California for two years, and holds BBA and MBA degrees from the University of Texas at Austin. He served as an officer in the U.S. Navy during the Cold War, and his primary responsibility was locating and tracking soviet submarines. In the navy he also served as a Narcotics Officer, and as a Legal Officer.

After serving in the Navy, A.P. worked in advertising and marketing research initially for large corporations and later as owner of his own consulting firm. He launched his creative writing career with his first novel being self-published in 2006. <br/>A former marathon runner, his current interests include golf, ballroom dancing, volunteer work, and road trips to places like Santa Fe, New Mexico and the Black Hills of South Dakota. He has two adult daughters and lives in Houston with wife and muse, Tanya.
