Texas Authors Institute of History

A Unique Museum that saves history, inspires the future, depth and gives to the present..

Born and raised almost entirely in Amarillo, Texas, I carry a deep love for the Lone Star state. I’m a Christian, a wife, a mom, a daughter, a sister, an aunt, and a friend. After my family, my passion is for writing, teaching Bible school, movies, and design.

By day, I am a professional building designer, specializing in custom homes. In the evenings, I write whenever I can. If I don’t have access to technology, paper or pen, I daydream my stories. I tumble them over and over in my mind’s eye until I get the chance to write them down.

I am blessed by God (and yes, even spoiled) with family and friends that support me, even when they don’t understand me. I love and adore them with all of my heart.

I currently serve as President of the Texas High Plains Writers, an organization established in 1920 to support and encourage writers of all kinds throughout the Texas Panhandle and surrounding area.

I’d love to come and present to your group, class, organization, or book club. I speak to college writing classes, children’s classes, and ladies groups, to name a few.
