Jason Sitzes has written award-winning short fiction, hundreds of feature stories, and is a ghostwriter for business books and memoirs. Jason is an award-winning short fiction writer. He has been the Director for the internationally acclaimed 10-day Writers Retreat Workshop for 15 years (founded by Gary and Gail Provost). For more than 20 years, he’s been honored to serve as an editor and instructor for Writing The Breakout Novel workshops with literary agent Donald Maass (Pres Donald Maass Lit Agency). His favorite interviews are discussing story with the likes of the late Dr Dick Gregory, Paula Poundstone, Louis CK, Dean Koontz, Michael Palmer, Joe Lansdale, Reavis Wortham, Stephanie Courtney (Progressive’s Flo), and dozens more. Jason has also worked as a workshop instructor and manuscript coach/story development editor for hundreds of fiction and non-fiction writers nationwide. He earned his BA in Creative Writing from the Univ of Tennessee, studying with southern greats like Michael Knight, Tom Franklin, and Marilyn Kallet. He lives with his wife, Lisa, and two dachshunds near Austin, TX.
