Cathy Sydlo Wilkes is an observer, storyteller, poet, author, and artist.
Her life growing up in a multicultural, military family, and as a military spouse, educator, reviewer, and nature lover contributes to and inspires her
work. Her themes cover the gamut of social issues, poetic justice, comedy, history, the psychological, and the spooky. Published in a number of local,
national, and international anthologies and journals, as well as various forums, she was the 2022 recipient of the Nissim II Prize for Poetry and
placed third for one of her haunting tales, "Silent Witness". Her art has been selected for several Texas gallery exhibits in Austin, Lockhart,
Magnolia, and Round Rock, Texas. Her books have sold locally, nationally, and outside of the U.S. Currently residing in San Antonio, Texas.
