Raised on a family farm in Northwestern Missouri, my careers and hobbies have included singer, corporate manager, college administrator at Denison University, race horse breeder, management consultant, technical writer, educator, and, of course, author. My first poem was published in a statewide anthology when I was in high school. I am a member of the Story Circle Network, an organization dedicated to women telling their stories, where I was a board member for several years. Currently, I teach high school English--used to teach math, sing with a Master Chorale, raise horses, write, travel, cook for friends, and live and wander the wild on the edge of a canyon in the Panhandle of Texas.
