Francis Joseph Schuck, Jr., was born on August 1, 1941, at Brooks Army Medical Center, Ft. Sam Houston, TX, as his Father, an Army Air Corps bomber pilot, was flying an Air Show for General Hap Arnold. It later became known as Air Force Day. Twenty five (25) years later, in 1966, it became the tragic day of the University of Texas Tower massacre. Joe, as he prefers to be called, spent over 10 years in the U. S. Navy, from 1960 until 1972, where he was a Missile Technician on Polaris and Poseidon missile submarines. He studied Electrical Engineering at Rice Institute and the University of Texas, while later getting an AA degree from Austin Community College in Computer Science and Psychology. During his career, he has worked as a Field Service Engineer for numerous small and large computer companies, in the field of nuclear medicine, on oil and gas supervisory control systems (SCADA), with flight simulation at NASA’s Manned Spacecraft Center in Houston, and Army helicopter training sites in South Korea and Texas, then USAF Jet Fighter trainers at Sheppard AFB, TX, before finally retiring with Boeing there. Once settled down in Wichita Falls, TX, he became concerned with the large amount of inaccurate, or just plain false, information that appeared each year as his birthday got nearer, about his former friend, Charlie Whitman, the Tower Sniper. So, this book is the product of his knowledge and research that will accurately provide you with the Truth.
