Texas Authors Institute of History

A Unique Museum that saves history, inspires the future, depth and gives to the present..

I was born in Beaumont, Texas in 1977 and except for a brief stay in Austin, I have lived in Beaumont my entire life. I have always been interested in fantasy and science fiction, but more than just being about artists and characters, I became fascinated with the process of creating stories. I wanted to tell stories that inspired other people’s imaginations like mine was inspired by other writers. I attended Lamar University in Beaumont but fizzled out and never graduated. I did not know what I wanted to learn, and so I bounced around from job to job, paying bills but never building a career. My story telling skills I honed among my friends with roleplaying games and other group activities. I never ceased to marvel at the unpredictability of life and what was said among real people. Occasionally I would pull out the old story of The Grey Blade and work on it, more like a hobby than anything else. It was a few years ago when I left a position of eight years as a pharmacy technician that I realized my true passion was always there, waiting for me. I could do any number of jobs, but I was a writer. I would not find satisfaction until I had told my stories, and so that is what I am doing.
