Angela Wilson was raised in Dallas. She and her accent now reside in Tennessee. She earned a BA in American History from UTDallas and an MLA from Southern Methodist University, where she also studied theater and writing.
Along with actor Carl Savering, she produced 28 plays at their critically-acclaimed Theatre Quorum in Dallas. She wrote several of the plays for TQ and other theaters, but she also produced, directed and acted in various, mostly obscure and underproduced plays by Lanford Wilson, Jeff Daniels, Joyce Carol Oates, and Thornton Wilder, with an emphasis on producing Irish playwrights. She taught theater, history, and humanities at several area community colleges.
She’s been a member of several choirs, traveled “the world” with Credo Community Choir in Dallas and with the New Mexico Women’s Chorus in Albuquerque. Her unfulfilled dream is to be a backup singer in a geezer band, she was a recent “Last DJ” for Tom Petty Radio and was a “Can’t Smile girl” for Barry Manilow back in the day.
She is represented by Talent Trek Agency in the South and Presley Talent in the Southwest. Her love of film also led her to convert some of the plays to screenplays, and ultimately led to the writing of her first novel, “White Dan for 200”, published by Mercury Heartlink Press.
Most important. Family. She is parent to the extraordinary Jennifer, has four beautiful and talented granddaughters and is very, very, very, very fond of cats.
Angela is also a foot model.
