Alex Temblador is the Mixed Latine award-winning author of Writing An Identity Not Your Own, Half Outlaw, and Secrets of the Casa Rosada. She received her MFA in Creative Writing from the University of Central Oklahoma and is a contributor to Living Beyond Borders: Growing Up Mexican in America and Speculative Fiction for Dreamers: A Latinx Anthology. Her work has also appeared in PALABRITAS, D Magazine, and Colorado Review. In addition to starred reviews, her books have received awards such as the 2023 Bronze Medalist for the Rudolfo Anaya Best Latino Focused Fiction Book Award from the International Latino Book Awards, 2019 NACCS Tejas Foco Young Adult Fiction Award, 2018 MG/YA Discover Prize Winner of the Writer’s League of Texas Book Awards, 2018 Kirkus Reviews’ Best of YA Books, and more.
