Ryan Gutierrez is a writer, teacher, and former investigator from Los Fresnos, Texas, deep in the Rio Grande Valley. He’s the author of Scars in Time, a novel that blends emotional depth with themes of justice, redemption, and the scars we carry, both visible and unseen.

With a background in investigations and over a decade of experience teaching English, literature, and Biblical studies, Ryan brings a unique perspective to his storytelling. He currently teaches high school English and Creative Writing, where he helps young writers find their voice.

Outside of writing and teaching, Ryan is active in several of his church's ministries, including the young men mentorship program and adult Biblical studies. He lives with his wife and two daughters, and he writes stories that aim to challenge, convict, and connect.
