Sarairis is a storyteller with deep roots in both sides of the border. Born in Monterrey, N.L., Mexico, and raised in Brownsville, TX, she now resides in Edinburg, TX, where she works as a reading language arts teacher. With a master’s degree in education and a lifelong passion for literacy, she dedicates her craft to writing stories that inspire, teach, and connect.
Her writing explores themes of resilience, family, and cultural heritage, drawing inspiration from her personal journey and the rich traditions of her Mexican culture and community. She seeks to inspire readers of all ages to find strength, hope, and connect with her stories. When teaching, she encourages her students to embrace their own narratives and use the power of words to build bridges. She is deeply committed to fostering a love of literacy in her students and community. She believes in the transformative power of storytelling to bridge cultures, empower voices, and inspire new perspectives. When she’s not working on her latest story or lesson plans, she enjoys spending time with her family exploring the beauty of South Texas in search for new inspiration.
