Pat Hauldren is an award-winning writer who writes both fiction and nonfiction, publishing over 800 articles, as well as short stories, poetry, even Japanese Noh Drama. She's a retired quality assurance manager, copy editor and proofreader, now focusing on fiction writing. Early 2026 will see her first urban fantasy novel, "The Angel Project: Emergence," in print soon followed by a science fiction novel, "The Downing." Pat co-founded the North Texas Speculative Fiction Workshop (@NTSFWW) (now on Discord) and teaches writing workshops around the world, from the Dallas/Fort Worth area to The Netherlands. She calls herself a ‘temporal mythologist’ because her love of mythology and world-building infuses her work with rich, layered storytelling that explores the legends and possibilities of both familiar and fantastical realms. When not crafting new worlds and characters, Pat practices tai chi, cheers on the Dallas Stars hockey team, travels with her husband of nearly 40 years, creates pottery, and volunteers with foster dogs through Cody’s Friends Rescue. A native Texan, she lives in Grand Prairie, Texas, USA, surrounded by family who keep her grounded between fictional adventures.
